Butter London: Fairy Cake and Scallywag

For the new years, I put on a fresh coat of polish. And with two new polishes that I got for Christmas! Butter Londons Fairy Cake and Scallywag. Scallywag is my accent nail, and I love how fun this simple look is!

Fairy Cake is a champagne colored sheer polish that is loaded with tiny and slightly bigger than tiny holographic glitters, and was stunning in two coats. When the sun hits it, it looks very much like a sparkler going off on my nails. Absolutely a dream to polish on.
Scallywag is a bright blue glitter polish that is just so pretty! I love the shade or is and the sparkle with this polish. The application for this polish was less than awesome. It was goopy and thick, and I had to push it across the nail rather than it gliding off the brush like most of my Butters. Possibly because it was loaded with glitter, but I did not have that problem with Fairy Cake. It dries a bit more dull than Fairy Cake, but is brought back to life with a few layers of topcoat. If you have felt the new OPI "Liquid Sand" polishes, they feel like that. Or NVL's Floam polish. I used two coats on my ring fingers.

See how gorgeous they are? 3 nails are slightly out of focus. And it looks deliciously awesome.

Both of these glitter polishes were topcoat thirsty, and even still with two coats of HK girl topcoat, I could still feel a bit of a grittiness to it, but I think a third coat would make it completely smooth.

Also, fun fact, I got a new camera for Christmas and I am still learning to use it! these were taken with that camera and hopefully they look a little bit nicer than usual :D I am pretty darn happy with it! I also got an awesome new lightbox from my husband and I can wait to use it.

Thanks for reading!
