MAC : Party Parrot Lipstick

Remember last April when I got my fist MAC lipstick? Yeah... that has to be the point where I discovered that MAC has to be my favorite brand for lipsticks. I have been bitten by the MAC bug, and while I can take or leave most of the other products that they come out with... when it comes to the pretty lipsticks? I'm 100% hooked.

MAC Party Parrot Lipstick

Party Parrot is an intense pink that has a tendency to lean red. It's a darker, but it is just such an intense color! This is bright and punchy lipstick that MAC has repromoted just in time for spring :) Is is opaque and doesn't take more than one swipe to get great coverage and a matte finish. The matte finish in this is very comfortable and not as drying as some of the other mattes that I have tried. I do like to wear lip primers under my bright lipsticks, though I usually skip liner. I'm sure everyone has their own favorite way to wear certain lipsticks. I wore Party Parrot for 6 hours with no issues before I removed it.

I cant wait to wear this baby more in the upcoming months, though here where I am the weather can't make up its mind and it keeps bouncing back and forth between really warm temperatures and bitter cold... Guess that just gives me lots of wiggle room with my makeup choices.

I have been really, really good about my impulse shopping lately. I used to blow so much money every weekend on just different makeup buys, from nail polish, to eyeshadows, to lip gloss. And there were a lot that I never touched again after initial opening. And I am not happy about that. Wasted makeup (and money) is a very sad thing indeed :(
So, here lately I have been really trying hard to set a purchase in mind weeks in advance before I buy. That way, I could ponder it and really debate on if I am buying something just because or if it is something that I am really wanting. So far so good. I have only bought a few lipsticks and yesterday night I bought an indie polish that I am really excited to show you guys when it gets here.

But, back to the lipstick -

I am really, very happy about this lipstick. This one I have been wearing more than some others and I would recommend this to several people. This is a lipstick that is known to sell quite fast with the MAC website, but it actually is back in stock when I checked just a moment ago. One tube costs $15 US and it is within the "Strength" collection right now.
