Butter London : Cake Hole

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a great Thursday, known to some as Valentine's Day! I went out to dinner with my husband, but I didn't feel so well and we had to skip the rest of the plans he had made.. hopefully we can make them up this coming weekend. Also, Sam has been sick with tummy troubles this week so I have been trying to stay close to the house in case she gets to feeling worse. I hate when one of my fur babies get to feeling bad, all I want to do is fix it! Today she is showing signs of improvement, so hopefully whatever bug she had has passed.

So, I admit it. I am not a big pink polish person. I can appreciate how they look on everyone else but they just aren't my thing. I made myself wear a pink polish on Valentines, and when I got to work  a coworker asked me about my nails. She was confused because I -never- wear pink! Haha, I need to go out of the ordinary more often to surprise people :P

Cake Hole Nail Polish
Cake Hole is a bright, hot pink polish with a "rubber" type finish. Not quite matte or satin. It has just a touch of peachyness to it, keeping it fresh! Cake Hole first appealed to me because of the name. I am a huge, huge fan of Supernatural and Dean in particular. In one episode, Dean turns to his brother Sam and tells him
"House rules, Sammy. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole."

And anything that has to do with Dean, I automatically love. My husband has learned to just live with it.
It is possible that even my ring tone is the same one he has, maybe.... I swear, I don't have a problem!

And since I can't buy you all candy for Valentine's Day, I will provide you with some delicious, calorie free eye candy instead! Feast your eyes on Dean Winchester!

I agree.

I could seriously watch gifs with Dean all day, but I will now return back to the polish.

Cake Hole Nail Polish
This baby was hard to photograph! It wanted to pull neon red with my camera, and seriously tormented it. The finish on this polish makes me feel like my camera was going fuzzy and not focusing, but not the case. It has a rubbery looking finish on it's own, very soft focus. . Make sure to use thin, even coats with Cake Hole. She doesn't level quite as nice as some of the others and with her unique finish, imperfections can be seen easily!

Cake Hole Nail Polish with Top Coat

I didn't care for the finish as much as I had wanted to. I went ahead and put a trusty coat of HK girl topcoat over it to help it last longer and give it a bit of shine. It also took away that little but of "dustiness" and rreally let the pink POP! Love!

Overall, I like the color a lot. It's such  a bright, hot pink! Not too girly, but still sweet enough for Valentine's day. Of course, I am aching to do some Supernatural nails right now, but I am at the point where the tips are chipped from work and I don't want to redo them again! Time for another color.
You can purchase Butter London polishes from www.butterlondon.com. Cake Hole  is an exclusive polish to certain stores, and this was the most reliable way to purchase it.

Thank you for reading!
xoxo -Sharon

And as for all the Dean Winchester gifs... well... I love you guys.

All of the images of Dean are not mine, but found from lovely people of tumblr
