MAC : Strong Woman Lipstick

It is perfectly acceptable to buy something because of the name right? I mean, would makeup have as much of a sale around it if the names were boring. Sure, sure, there are brands that are wildly successful with numbered products and rely solely on the product to sell itself... but cute names, in my opinion, go a long... long way. And they eat my wallet!

Strong Woman is a purple lipstick with warm pink tones. On my lips, Strong Woman seemed to pull more pink. It went on very smoothly, and even looked a little more "cool" while applying but after a few moments on my lips, it did seem to go a little more berry than true purple. This is not to say that I do not like Strong Woman, I do!  Either my lip pigmentation or own personal chemistry makes it warm up, but it is a very flattering color. In the picture of myself below, I took it pretty soon after application  and it looks more purple in that one. I don't get it, but maybe this gives you an ideas of how it plays on my lips!

Mascara: Maybelline Cat Eyes Mascara in Glam Black
Eyeliner : Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero
Lips : MAC Strong Woman


I have many, many more lipsticks that I went crazy with here lately, so if you don't like looking at pretty lipsticks I do apologize... but seriously, why wouldn't you like to see lipstick? So much pretty!
Also, does anyone else find it harder to shop for items that you have not seen in person? I find it incredibly challenging, and while somethings I can buy online and feel like I am going to be happy with... some things I don't. I know that the Archie's Girls collection from MAC is huge in the blogger world right now, and yes I did order the lipsticks just in case my counter decides to run out of those first (like they do) but with anything else like face powers, blushes, ect. I feel like I should probably test them out a little more in person. Which is why I am going to be going by the MAC counter early this week to see a few blushes in person. Yes, I am being suckered in by the pretty -but- the only reason I would buy something is if I don't have something like it  already. Which, I don't know how pearl mattes are so that is why I am going to look for myself.
