A little background on yours truly!

Hey there, my name is Sharon! I am 25 years old. I have a degree in fine arts, I adore makeup and I love having fun! One of my hobbies is gaming, this is very much a video game centered household! My husband and I try to conquer as many two player games as possible. I enjoy different genres of music, I love Mexican, Italian, and Asian food and I love to cook! I work with animals now, but I have long term goals to have my own business working with animals some day.

I got into makeup in college really, though I have been reading magazines and learning about beauty tricks since I was about 12. I used to take my mothers old magazines and clip out articles for DIY facial masks, then made my own book of beauty tips. When I was younger my favorite thing was this really pretty purpley pink NYC lipstick that I used to use all the time. I've expanded my tastes since then, but still love the "wilder" colors. Everything I know about makeup I have either learned on my own, or from others' experiances.

I also am a bit of a bookworm. Nothing is quite as relaxing as losing yourself in a great book. As soon as one of my favorite authors releases a new title, I try my best to get a hold of it as quickly as possible. I also like to drag it out a bit while reading, you only get to read a book for first time once! However, sometimes I get so wound up in the story I forget to draw it out a little :) My favorite genres are fantasy ones, sci fi, and mystery. I personally read to escape, so out of this world is a good thing!
The reason behind the blog? I like the share my experiences with others so that they will have more information, so that they in turn might be able to make a more informed descision. Nothing more, nothing less. Plus, it's a creative outlet. Kind of.

I have two dogs, whom I love dearly. They are my girls! I also have a ferret, he is just a riot and I love him to pieces!

What are your hobbies and interests?
Video Games, Reading, Makeup, Hair, Music, Sci-Fi/Fantasy Horror, Drawing and Painting, Cooking, Crafting, Weather, and My Dogs. I like sugar skulls and dinosaurs, too.

Things you collect?
I collect unique teddy bears from places, I have  a pair from Australia my friends brought me from her trip, one from another friends london trip, one from japan, and another from Poland! My friends go to cool places! I also have some from my trips with my husband that I love! Besides that, I collect great indie nail polishes and makeup!

What gaming systems do you have?
I have a PS3, XBox360 & Wii.

What are your favorite tv shows?
 Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, Supernatural, Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, The Guild ( it counts! ) Glee, The Office, Sherlock, MythBusters, Dirty Jobs. Thanks to Netflix, I am constantly finding new things to watch.

What’s your favorite music?
Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Kittie, Apocolyptica, P!nk, Mumford and Sons, Halestorm, Slipknot, Brad Paisley, Seether, Nightwish, Kenny Chesney. Really, whatever strikes my fancy.
